Ken Kelleway has spent the last 35 years in the business of Residential Sales & land development. Ken understands what it is like to work hard, take advantage of opportunities, and know when to make an investment in Real Estate. It is one of the biggest decisions you can make and he will listen closely to your plan and help you bring your Dream to Reality. You want to sell your home but where will you go? You want to buy a home, but what is your long term plan?
Having been his own boss for over 30 years, Ken’s skills at negotiation, attention to details, and “out of the box thinking”, are exceptional. Working with Sellers, he will advise them on the best way to present their homes & address any serious maintenance matters. Ken helps homeowners take a step back and look at their homes from a Buyer’s perspective. He offers Solutions that make sense and can refer his clients to qualified tradespeople to help if that is what is needed.
Starting his own company at the age of 20, Ken ran a framing crew and would find his team in great demand, managing several building sites and making sure everything ran efficiently without sacrificing quality. Fine details, problem solving and negotiations – with clients, project managers, tradespeople, and suppliers - were an integral part of his daily life.
Ken’s knowledge of the costs to Develop land can help a client decide whether to develop the land themselves or sell to another investor. He still gets calls from past clients hoping he will work with them again on their homes…while he no longer is a general contractor, he has a vast referral network for his clients.
Making the transition from a licensed Builder to a licensed Real Estate Agent was a natural and a welcome change to his career path. Always looking for a way to increase his knowledge, and to expand his network, Ken really enjoys meeting and working with new friends. He plays by the rules, is open-minded and ready to find alternative solutions when negotiating contracts for his clients.
Katrina has worked alongside Ken since they joined forces in 1990. While Ken worked hard at building up his construction business, Katrina supported him by handling the day to day office tasks while also managing the day to day activities childhood activities that their children were taking part in.
As their children got older, Katrina stepped in to assist with the sports organizations that fed their competitive spirits - Spring Kayaking and Modern Pentathlon. While they were competing, Katrina helped organize local competitions, one of them being a National level event for Modern Pentathlon. Katrina also traveled with the Senior Athletes for Sprint Kayaking as a chaperone - assisting with cooking and keeping track of so many had to be one of the most challenging tasks she has ever dealt with.
Organization, research, and paperwork has always been an integral part of Katrina's role whether it was with the schools, sports teams, or construction business, that the move the real estate was natural. Meeting new people, helping them make decisions that affect their lives - always in a better way - was reminiscent of the same work she did with construction.
From Construction to Selling Real Estate, Ken & Katrina have always worked hard to help their clients realize their dreams.
